Jesus replied, "No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the Kingdom of God." -- Luke 9:62 TNIVRegrets. We all got 'em. But the one who looks back while plowing makes a mess of the future.
Here Jesus emphasizes the radical, immediate nature of the invitation to discipleship. He says, in essence, "No, you can't go home!" He may have appeared insensitive. He was being practical and wise. He knows the one looking back makes a mess of the future.
Where have you been regretting the past? Instead, look ahead. The future will have fewer regrets.
